One On One With Anna : A self confessed shoe-aholic

Hi, I'm Anna. I am a self confessed shoe-aholic, I currently own 20 pairs of shoes and I don't see that number shrinking anytime soon. I wear an EU45, I prefer to work in the EU sizing measurements because that always seems to ensure consistency between shoe makes. This might be an unnecessary restriction I put on myself, but seeing EU sizing definitely put my mind at ease when ordering shoes.I love a good statement shoe, along with an everyday style.

Sometimes I want my shoes to do the talking and then sometimes I want my outfit to be the focal point of my appearance. I do personally like my shoes and bags to match to an extent, unless I have a statement shoe on then I really like my bag to remain anonymous. The best thing about shoes is how some can be worn in so many different ways. Now we are returning to a life reminiscent of pre-covid, I seemingly have an abundance of weddings to attend around Australia, Sydney and Country WA. With this I am loving the task of what outfits I will wear, but also what shoes I will be wearing with them also.

I have 3 pairs of shoes here to talk about, Lacy (Jacob + Therese), Sharon (Django and Juilette) and Luna (Jacob + Therese).

First Impressions: I will have to admit that I do own these in Green, but I was keen to see them in Tan and wow! They look great.

Fit: With a combination of a zip on the heel and laces at the front, they fit so well. My foot slides in, I zip up, and then use the laces for adjusting the tightness.

Overall Thoughts: Such a versatile shoe, and comfy to wear. I know from my existing pair that I can easily wear them during the day and then transition into a night out all in one day. I use to be hesitant about wearing open toed shoes, I have a thing about my toes being on show, but with wearing these I have no such issues.

First Impressions: I do have a thing for Tan boots, currently own 5 pairs in various forms of knee high and ankle. So it was unsurprising to me that I would like these, at first I was a little unsure about the height of the boot at first glance it appears that it is going to be quite low.

Fit: Very true to size, my feet went into these no issues.

Overall Thoughts: Once I had paired them with a couple of outfits I fell in love with the style. With its big chunky heel I felt grounded and they were so comfy.

Luna Jacob + Therese

LUNA by jacob +Therese

First Impressions: I very rarely wear flats, in-fact in my shoe collection I own only 2 pairs so they don't often get an outing. So seeing a pair of flats come out of the box I was a bit mixed on whether I would take to them. They definitely screamed comfortable to me as I was inspecting them.

Fit: True to size Usually with flats I would worry that the base of my toes would be visible and given my dislike for my toes I would think it ruins the look of a shoe. However with the Luna's there is enough shoe to cover the ends of my feet and it left me pleasantly surprised.

Overall Thoughts: After moving around during the day in these, I had fallen for them. They are soft, comfortable and unobtrusive in colour allowing for your outfit to take centre stage. I could definitely see myself wearing these to the office.
